About Us

Hooch Skateboards started far from the ocean — in Woodstock, Georgia, where our small crew worked on Chattahoochee River conservancy projects and fell in love with the flow of water, wheels, and everything in between. What began as a community-minded project to protect the river that inspired our name soon turned into a creative brand rooted in motion, nature, and balance.

We’re a family-run company with roots stretching from New York to Athens, Georgia, and now we call Saint Simons Island home. Our move to the coast was more than a change of scenery — it was the next chapter in our story. The island’s surf, salt air, and relaxed energy shaped the evolution of Hooch from an inland project to a full-blown coastal lifestyle brand.

Our 12 year old daughter, a fearless surfer with a heart for the ocean, keeps us grounded and inspired. Watching her chase waves on Saint Simons reminds us every day why Hooch exists — to celebrate freedom, community, and the joy of motion.

Today, every product we make — from decks to tees — carries that same blend of river roots and coastal soul. We design with purpose, live by the tide, and build with the kind of authenticity that only comes from family.
